Trump served as the headliner for Tuesday’s fundraising event and arrived at the golf course on board the Marine One presidential helicopter, while a group of protestors and counterprotestors gathered outside. The fundraiser was a closed door event but a White House staffer told the Los Angeles Times that Trump highlighted his administrations achievements at the event and drew a contrast with “radical policies of Democrats like Gavin Newsom.” After the event ended the president was seen leaving onboard the helicopter. The president has not yet commented on the arrest publicly.

What Do We Know About The Charges Against The Suspect?

According to the Associated Press, Taele has been charged with multiple felonies for second-degree robbery and carrying a large-capacity magazine and possessing a short-barreled rifle, both of which are banned in California. The suspect has pleaded not guilty and his bail has been set at $250,000. Federal investigators, the Secret Service and the Sheriff’s Department are still investigating the matter, and Taele could face additional charges.
