Perry, in a post<\/u> on X on Friday, said she was \u201cdeeply appalled and angry to see \u2018Firework\u2019 used on the @WhiteHouse TikTok account as a backing track for video footage of military strikes,\u201d saying she was not asked for permission and does not condone the use of her music. \u201cTo see a message of self-worth and upliftment weaponized to soundtrack destruction and violence is a complete violation of everything my song stands for,\u201d Perry wrote, adding her music is not meant for \u201ccelebrating warfare.\u201d Perry\u2019s post was viewed 25 million times and received more than 260,000 likes. <\/p>\n
