Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said he was \u201cpleased\u201d the Strait of Hormuz would open, but said he would \u201cbe watching closely the ensuing negotiations regarding Iran\u2019s nuclear program and other matters,\u201d while putting the onus on Vice President JD Vance to present the nuclear agreement to Congress.<\/p>\n<h2>Trump\u2019s Defense<\/h2>\n<p>Trump insisted Wednesday on the sidelines of the G7 conference in France the deal \u201cachieves everything we set out to accomplish and much more,\u201d including \u201cpreventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon\u2014that\u2019s what it was all about, that was about 99%,\u201d he said.
