On Tuesday, Hands Off the Arts, an activist group that has protested Trump\u2019s takeover of the Kennedy Center, shared the first images of the Kennedy Center\u2019s sign after Trump\u2019s name was removed with Forbes<\/u>. The Kennedy Center is fighting the order requiring the removal of Trump\u2019s name in a federal appeals court. In court filings, the center has argued stripping Trump\u2019s name will \u201csubstantially undermine fundraising and financial viability,\u201d claiming \u201cpeople and companies, who have given, or will be giving, millions of dollars to the Center were only willing to do so with the name \u2018Trump\u2019 on the Building.\u201d The center has also argued it does not have to reschedule previously cancelled programming or plan new events to comply with Cooper\u2019s order to keep the center open past July 5, though Beatty has argued the lack of programming has turned the center into a \u201clifeless husk.\u201d<\/p>\n
